AIIA’s Study Center, launched in the Summer of 2004, is located just off Route 15 in Monson, Maine, right on the shores of Lake Hebron.
The facility itself was formerly an old Swedish Lutheran church, and is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Its library, media resources, and programs are available to skeptics and believers alike. Appalachian Trail hikers and vacationers are welcome to stop by for coffee.
Lectures, services, and special events at the Study Center are posted on the News & Events page of AIIA’s web site.
Plan to visit us sometime soon.
Next Upcoming Event
FAITH MATTERS is a weekly (Wednesday) gathering sponsored by AIIA in combination with the Monson Community Church. During a typical weekly session we consider what the Bible says about matters of life and truth — what we should believe, and how we are to conduct ourselves while here on earth. In 2023 we will be particularly focused on exploring worldviews, examining alternative belief systems, and considering the application of Christian apologetics.
WHAT HAPPENS. This one-hour weekly event typically consists of Bible teaching, lectures, resource reviews, and conversation geared for thinking adults and senior teens.
FAITH MATTERS is open to the public. There is no admission charge. Participation is welcomed but not required. No one will be made to feel uncomfortable by being pressured to contribute to the discussion.
FEATURED THIS WEEK: In this fourth of a ten-part series on comparative religions, we’ll be using a chart that details the various beliefs of 20 cults and world religions on a whole range of subjects, e.g. What do Mormons believe about the Holy Spirit? What do Wiccans believe about God? What do Muslims believe about the Bible? What do Jews believe about Jesus? What do materialists believe about heaven? Free charts will be made available. Plan to join us.
