MONSON, MAINE • AIIA STUDY CENTER • AIIA’S 22ND ANNUAL FALL FORUM • REJECTING CHRISTIANITY

November 7, 2015 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

No charge

This year’s one-hour Fall Forum will directly follow AIIA’s November 2015 Faith Matters event and involve closely-related subject material.

Larry Spencer, an ex-Christian and articulate blogger from northeastern Massachusetts, will be our guest. Larry made a profession of Christian faith when he was 11 years old, grew up, married a Christian woman, and began to raise his family in the faith, all the while involved in his local church. Then in mid-life he categorically renounced his faith. Why did he do that? What led to such a radical change? By interviewing Larry in this live and unrehearsed one-hour session, we intend to better understand the mind of thoughtful ex-Christians everywhere. What do they do upon leaving the Church? How do they cope with life without the support of Christian fellowship and the promises found in Scripture? How do they now feel about Christians?

CAUTION! This event is not recommended for the faint of faith. Those who are new or weak in their Christian faith may not want to attend this year’s forum.

Otherwise, you might want to become acquainted with Larry Spencer, his story, and his current convictions, even before November 7. You can do so by clicking here to read his blogs.

DISCLAIMER: Obviously, AIIA does not endorse the views expressed on The Path of the Beagle web site.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This event, as has always been the case with our Fall Forum events, will be conducted in a spirit of civility and goodwill. You are welcome to join us, regardless of your worldview, insofar as you will respect that principle.
