FAITH MATTERS is a monthly meeting sponsored by AIIA during which we examine worldviews, belief systems, and a wide variety of issues related to matters of life and truth — all through the lens of Christian apologetics. This event typically features lectures, resource reviews, and conversation geared for thinking adults and senior teens. FAITH MATTERS is open to the public (but see Special Notice below). There is no admission charge. Participation is welcomed but not required. No one will be made to feel uncomfortable by being pressured to contribute to the discussion. Light refreshments are often provided.
FEATURED THIS MONTH: Review of a new DVD-enhanced curriculum by Josh & Sean McDowell with the same title as Josh McDowell’s classic text, Evidence That Demands a Verdict: Life-Changing Truth for a Skeptical World. The study itself is comprised of six sessions which tackle basic apologetics-related subjects such as the accuracy of Scripture, the existence of truth, and the case for the resurrection of Christ.
PROGRAMMING NOTE: All topics are subject to change up to one week before the event, as circumstances warrant. Check to verify the topic within the final six days preceding the date of the program.
SPECIAL NOTICE: During the time of coronavirus concern, guests to FAITH MATTERS events will be welcomed to attend by reservation only, so be sure to call ahead (207.997.3644). This policy will ensure our ability to observe recommended protocols and provide appropriate distancing in our meeting place. Please bring and be prepared to wear a face mask.
