Amy (Occupational Therapist) and our son Timothy (Registered Maine Guide and employed at Louisiana Pacific in New Limerick, Maine), were married in January, 2005. They live with their sons, Malachi and Logan, and daughter, Kaylee, in Linneus.

Witmer served as pastor of churches in Sangerville (for nine years), Abbot (for 16 years), and Monson (for 30 years) — circuit-riding among two or three of the churches at that time and before founding AIIA in 1991.

Maureen (works with Take Them a Meal) and our son Andrew, Ph.D. (University of Virginia), a professor of American history at James Madison University in Harrisonburg VA, were married in October, 2007. They live with their son Benjamin, daughter Katherine, and son John, in the Shenandoah Valley.

Emma and our son Stephen, Ph.D. (University of Cambridge, England), Senior Pastor of Pepperell Christian Fellowship and an adjunct professor at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, were married in April, 2006, and live in Pepperell MA with their children, Annie, Samuel, and Henry.
